The Abadas

Dinamo Productions are pleased to announce a triple broadcaster win to produce pre-school series The Abadas (52x11’). The series will be the first project CBeebies, RTE and S4C have collaborated on together

The Abadas is a multi-layered interactive word and sound association series that has been created to appeal to a broad range of pre-school viewers. Set in the magical world of a pop-up book - in which pre-schoolers will be transported to the playful world of Pop-Up Island - viewers can search for new words while experiencing new adventures with Hari the hippo, Seren the bat and Bella the fox.

The series has educational development at its core; co-playing, developing intuition and independent thought are elements that underpin the programme’s ethos, whilst visual comedy and simple songs are key to its appeal. Each episode of the mixed-media series features catchy songs to ensure its audience is totally engaged and amused as they watch and interact with The Abadas.

Following the recent commission of Soli & Mo (26x7’) by S4C, award-winning animation company - Dinamo Productions (thats us) have announced pre-sales for the series to CiTV and Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC). In addition RTÉ has acquired the rights to the series.

Voiced by children and combining a mix of animation and HD wildlife footage from Cardiff-based Aden Productions, the series has been created to appeal to a broad range of pre-school audiences.

Hosted by two friends, Soli the Sun and Mo the Moon, the two meet up twice a day, at sunrise and sunset, to share their most interesting observations of earth’s animal kingdom – from fish swimming in the sea to birds flying high in the sky.
